Large balcony. Check. Lots of natural light trickling in. Check. Room with a walk-in closet and a meditation corner all rolled into one. Check.
This is not a hotel room with specific demands, this is Guarav Kapur’s light-soaked, breezy Mumbai flat with a rather calm vibe! The radio host turned into one of India’s most celebrated and popular sports anchor, Gaurav Kapur, likes his home to be a quiet retreat keeping the hustle and bustle of the busy city and his work away from it. His childhood sweetheart actor Kirat Bhattal brings in zen into this Mumbai flat with varied design elements. She loves to keep the sanctity of the space they are blessed with. Most used colour in the house is white. Muted tones of wood and metal are also used all around the living room space. The most interesting thing is the balcony that is Kirat’s green patch, where a perfect setting sun awaits you every evening. The balcony then leads up to a spiral staircase which is almost like Alice in Wonderland. Join Asian Paints Where The Heart Is to find out what’s up the spiral staircase.
Originally a 3-BHK house, this residence was redesigned by the couple keeping their idea of space and storage in mind. The 2 bedrooms were converted into one large bedroom with a walk-in closet and a cosy space to lounge around along with a four-poster bed. There is a funny secret behind the 4 poster bed that is revealed in this cheerful episode. Homes are made of people that live in them. This is perfectly true in Gaurav and Kirat’s beautiful flat that spells friendship, love, understanding and a lot of laughter.
