What is the dilution ratio for Ace Exterior Emulsion?

The dilution required for Ace Exterior Emulsion is 75% of the volume of the paint. For example, in one litre of Ace Exterior Emulsion, you need to dilute 750 ml. of water.

How long will the product last after application?

The lifespan of the product is 2 - 3 years.

What is the curing period for new surfaces?

New masonry surfaces must be allowed to cure completely. 28 days is the curing period we recommednd.

What is the pre-painting procedure for Ace Exterior Emulsion?

A few pre-requisites for applying the Ace Exterior Emulsion are:1) Check if there are any light green, dark green or black spots on your walls (Algae). If yes then, clean the wall surface using a bio-wash. For the bio-wash, mix 15% of locally available bleaching powder in a bucket full of water. This mixture will kill all the organic growth on the wall surface.2) Please ensure that all water leakages and seepages are repaired before painting.3) Check if there are any cracks in your walls. If there are minor surface cracks, you need to fill them with Exterior Wall Putty or a mixture of cement and sand. However, for bigger cracks you need to consult your nearest local civil contractors.

What is the painting procedure for Ace Exterior Emulsion?

1) Cleaning: (If required with bio-wash) Sand the surface using Emery Paper No. 180 followed by Emery Paper No. 320 or 400 and wipe it clean.2) Smoothen: Use Asian Paints Wall Putty to smoothen surfaces (Optional).3) Priming: Apply Exterior Wall Primer.4) To apply the paint, mix 750 ml. of water with 1 litre of Ace Exterior Emulsion. Apply 2 - 3 coats of Ace Exterior Emulsion with a 4 - 6-hour gap between each layer.

Can Ace Exterior Emulsion be used for all exteriors?

Yes, it can be used on all paintable surfaces.

How many coats of Ace Exterior Emulsion are recommended for application?

We recommend applying 2 coats of Ace Exterior Emulsion by thinning 1 litre of paint with 750 ml of water or 20 litres of paint with 15 litres of water.

Can I apply both the coats of Ace Exterior Emulsion immediately?

It is best to allow a gap of at least 4 - 6 hours between 2 coats.

Can Ace Exterior Emulsion only be applied by brush?

It can be applied with a brush, roller or spray.

Can I use Ace Exterior Emulsion like any other paint? Does it need any special preparation?

A few pre-requisites for applying the Ace Exterior Emulsion are:1) Make sure the area to be painted is free from chalking.2) Clean it thoroughly and vigorously with a wire brush and water to remove the growth of Algae, Fungus or Moss.3) There are chances of water accumulating on horizontal surfaces. No Putty should be applied in that case.4) The surface should be levelled to remove all cracks and unevenness by using a cement - plaster mixture. Mix 1 portion of cement with 3 portions of sand.

What is the VOC level in Ace Exterior Emulsion?

The VOC Level in Ace Exterior Emulsion (All Whites) is 22.22 grams per litre.

How much time will the product take to dry, post painting?

Ace Exterior Emulsion will take 30 minutes for the surface to dry.
