1. Prevent Drips: Don’t Spray Paint Vertically

When using spray paint, it's crucial to maintain a consistent distance and angle to the surface you're painting. Spraying vertically can lead to drips and runs, resulting in an uneven finish. Instead, hold the spray can parallel to the surface or at a slight angle, approximately 6-8 inches away.

2. Do Cover Your Surroundings

Before you begin spraying, take the time to protect surrounding surfaces from overspray. Aim to keep the nozzle approximately 6-8 inches away from the surface and move the can smoothly and evenly across the area being painted.

6. Avoid Cracks: Don’t Spray Too Thick
