STEP 1: INSTALL A DADO RAIL
A dado rail, also known as a chair rail, is a type of moulding which is fixed horizontally to a wall around the perimeter to create dimension and of course, add the old-world charm you crave! Ensure that your dado rail is not installed too high or too low - 3 feet above the ground works perfectly for this bathroom!
STEP 2: THE WALLPAPER
Nothing screams nautical more than classic combination of blue, white and stripes! We brought it all together with this fun wallpaper. Pro tip: vertical stripes would make a room with a low ceiling look taller!
STEP 3: CHOOSE YOUR COLOUR!
In order to tie the half-and-half wall together, ensure that the hue you choose perfectly balances the wallpaper. For our nautical-themed bathroom makeover, we opted for Asian Paints Sleigh Bells #8295 that is the perfect neutral against the blue and white wallpaper.
